Chi Omega’s 5th Annual Wish Week

Chi Omega’s 5th annual Wish Week was a huge success! Throughout the week, Chi Omegas provided hope to children with critical illnesses through financial and emotional support. We kicked Wish Week off by selling donuts and coffee on T. Anne Cleary walkway. Here, we raised money for Make-A-Wish and educated students on the power of a Wish.

On Tuesday we were lucky enough to hear John Neilsen’s Wish story, and have our very own alumna Caely Teitz share what it's like to be a Wish Manager for Make-A-Wish Iowa. Wednesday night was spent surrounded by sisters as we cuddled up and watched videos on the power of a Wish over some delicious treats.

Cortado was kind enough to let us host a community day on Thursday where 20% of all proceeds went to Make-A-Wish.

Thursday was also the start of our 24-hour online fundraiser. Over the first four days of Wish Week, Psi Beta raised $4,944.49 all for the amazing Wish kids and families. We are so proud to be able to make such a difference and support such a wonderful organization.

We appreciate our Make-A-Wish Director, Katie Freund, and all of her hard work to make this incredible week so successful! Thank you to Chairs Kelsey Ford, Tasha Gilkison, Mary Clare Voreis, and everyone who volunteered!

Our final day of Wish Week was our annual Golf Classic event, which brought the total raised for Wish Week to over $8,800, and over $16,000 raised as a chapter so far in 2021. We are thrilled! Read about our Golf Classic on the blog linked below!
