Homecoming Week Champions 2018

Homecoming week 2018 was an absolute blast!! We received 1st place overall at the end of the week and it was so fun getting to know the women of Gamma Rho Lambda!! To top the week off, our own sister Katie was elected onto Homecoming Court!

The first day of Homecoming was Canstruction, which is an event where two people from each pairing come together to build a structure out of donated canned goods. Chi Omega and Gamma Rho Lambda received first place in the competition and most canned good donations.

The next day was the blood drive. We received 2nd place in donations and saved some lives while we were at it!

“Rukus at the Rec” is a night where students go our Campus Recreation Center to play dodgeball and tug-a-war. While we didn’t place in tug-a-war, we won dodgeball and we had an absolute blast cheering on our sisters and Gamma Rho Lambda.

During the week, there was a Cornhole tournament as well which we were thrilled to place 2nd in.

On Thursday, Shout took place on the Pentacrest. Shout is a dance competition that has pairings working together to create a skit/dance routine. Chi Omega and Gamma Rho Lambda were lucky to have won for the fourth year in a row! Our new members absolutely killed the dance and we are so proud of them!

Closing out the week, we had the parade and our pairing worked together to create a stellar float. We put a lot of hard work into it and in the end we received 2nd place!!

Saturday was the Homecoming game against Maryland and the Hawks were able to stop the opposing team from scoring! It was so fun being able to celebrate the successful week with our sisters!!
