Wilson's Orchard Fall Sisterhood
Fall is the time to eat cinnamon & sugar donuts, sip on apple cider slushies, & spend time at the pumpkin patch together! Our Sisterhood Director, Maizie Lawrence, planned an incredible day! We traveled to Wilson’s Orchard & Farm to soak in the beautiful fall weather and spend some much-needed time de-stressing with our sisters. Then we had a photoshoot with our alumna, Katherine Mendieta, and enjoyed taking professional pics with our new members, littles, and pledge classes. As the sunset, we grabbed goodies from the shop and headed back to the house where we made bracelets and watched Halloween movies.
“Fall festivities are my favorite, so planning this fall sisterhood was so much fun for me! I think it’s super important to carve out time in the midst of midterm season to hang out with people who make you smile. I’m so happy girls were able to take a break to enjoy some apple cider donuts and pick out some pumpkins. It turned out to be such a beautiful day and it made my heart burst to see everyone’s smiling faces. The genuine joy I see in this sisterhood is what makes my role so special.” - Maizie Lawrence, Sisterhood Director
“The fall sisterhood at Wilson’s is something I look forward to every year! It’s so much fun taking a step away from studying for midterms and getting together with everyone. The fall seems to get so busy so having this sisterhood is a nice way to bring everyone together and have some good laughs and good food, and this year did not disappoint!” - Isabella Anania
“Sisterhoods are memories that last a lifetime. I remember going my freshman year to Wilson’s Apple Orchard for a fall sisterhood and it was such an amazing time. Being able to bond with my sisters and take pictures with some that I wasn’t close with yet makes it 10x better to look back at those photos now and see how far we have come. Every time, I am able to fall in love with these memories all over again. This year was so much fun because taking pictures with pumpkins and being together as a whole after being apart during a pandemic was such a good feeling. Not to mention the tradition of always getting too many doughnuts and some mini pumpkins to decorate at home with.” - Kaelie Hamilton
“I had the BEST time at the fall sisterhood with my girls! It was the perfect study break before midterms. What could be better than pumpkins, cozy sweaters, and my best friends?” - Danny Barker
“The fall sisterhood at Wilson’s apple orchard took me right back to my freshman year Fall sisterhood. Back then it was my first event with Chi O and there was so much excitement surrounding it. However, back then I knew probably ten girls and there were so many I couldn’t even name. I thought back to that time of having so many friends still to meet, and then this year, as a junior, I was surrounded by over fifty of my sisters spanning from new members to seniors, each of which I know and love dearly. The amount of amazing friends I gain from this chapter always amazes me and it was so fun having a relaxed event where we could just be together, take some pictures, and eat more fall treats than imagined!” - Makenna Mumm
“As a freshman who is a new member in Chi Omega, the pumpkin patch sisterhood event gave me a glimpse into my future.. Getting to spend time with the sophomores, juniors, and seniors and seeing the bonds they have formed through this chapter made me realize how lucky I am to be in a sisterhood with such amazing girls. I am so excited to get to know everyone more and more throughout my years of college. Chi Omega has truly become my new family.” - Juliet Gratias
“Fall is seriously the best time of the year but it is so easy to get caught up with school and other commitments. This sisterhood was SO much fun and such a great way to destress and remind myself that I am surrounded by the most loving and caring women in the world. Being at the apple orchard was such a great chance for me to get to know more new members and reconnect with upperclassmen that I hadn’t seen in a while. I love Fall so much, and being with my sisters makes it a million times better!” - Abby Subach
“The fall sisterhood event was a great way to relax and make new memories with some of my best friends! It really got everyone in the fall spirit and I got to form connections with a ton of the new members. I loved spending time with my ‘little’, Maren. We had fun taking photos with the pumpkins, sipping apple cider, and munching on donuts. The Sisterhood Cabinet did such an amazing job planning this event per usual, and it made every single member feel so special and loved.” - Libby Eisenmenger
“The fall sisterhood was so special to me! It was amazing getting the chance to spend more time with the new members and get to take pictures with them as well! It was an evening filled with constant laughter! We had apple cider, took pictures, and got to see the cute pumpkin patch as well! I always look forward to getting to spend time with the women in this chapter. I look up to every single member in so many different ways, it is always so uplifting to be surrounded by such amazing women!” - Aubri McClung
“The fall sisterhood at Wilson’s Apple Orchard was the perfect opportunity to get to know the girls in Chi Omega even better. I felt extremely welcomed the minute I joined Chi O on Bid Day, but having little sisterhood events like this where we all get together, eat donuts, drink apple cider and catch up truly makes it feel like a family! I couldn’t think of a better first sisterhood event to attend as a Chi O!” - Cayler Noun Harder
